COMMENT

Erics response to opposition video:

Millet told his audience that because they were LDS they already know more about God and Christ than their "attackers"...

He said it should not be a shock that there will be opposition, He reffered to proclaimation in 1845 1st major one. "As this work progresses in its onward course, and becomes more and more an object of political and religious interest and excitement, no king, ruler or subject, no community or individual will stand neutral. All will at length be influenced by one spirit or the other and will takes sides, either for or against the kingdom of God."

Millet said he has seen some of that come to pass in his lifetime.

He insinuated that the Kingdom of God refers to the Latter day saints.

He said that the truthfulness of a spiritual matter is only to be know by the 'quiet' wisperings of the Holy Spirit. How significant that is may be known by the opposition that comes in response to it.

Wow. Wow. huh?

He insinuated that because people opposed building the temples that made the truthfulness of it more of a reality to him. Somehow construing that because someone opposes it, therefore it must be true.

Howabout looking at the root? The original from the Word. No. Because someone calls it what it is, they are construed as an opponent and their even mentioning that it is out of alignment is construed as opposition. So the stronger a Christian opposes LDS teaching the Mormon is supposed to accept that as affirmation of truth.

Wow. wow. huh?

He referred to:
"Quiet wisperings" = truth (which really means there is no evidence)
"Loud Janglings" = signficance of that truth. (which really means someone is pointing out the fact there is no evidence)

Millet said. Brigham Young stated that "when we begin to build a temple, all the bells of Hell will begin to ring...and oh how I love to hear those bells."

There may be some truth to that.

He next conjectured a question, "Why would it be that the Book of Mormon would recieve so much opposition?" He said it was just a book with white pages and black ink, who's teachings are very Christ centered and encourage people to come to Christ, who's teachings are uplifting and edifying...

He said the "Quiet Whisperings" (which really means Lack of any evidence) were a testiment to the truth. Again he metioned the Loud opposition (really means someone is pointing out the fact there is a lack of any evidence)

He said that the "only true church" is not a popular concept. He called it the fullness of the Gospel, the priesthood of God, and said I he did not already know it in a "Quiet" way I might suspect that is the case by the very loud opposition at that concept elicites from people.

He then mentioned that Heber C. Kimball and others were "attacked" by evil spirits that opposed them, before they did a baptism. Joseph told them that they were nigh unto God and said, "the nearer a man approaches the Lord the greater the adversary will be manifest to thwart the accomplishment of Gods purposes."

He said, and so opposition will come with the church.
